OUR “WHY”

A group of eleven young women posing together under a stadium roof, all wearing blue or black T-shirts with the logo 'Rhythm Factory'. Some are kneeling in front, others standing behind, with a few making peace signs and smiling.
Two girls standing on a dance studio floor, making heart shapes with their hands and smiling. The girl on the left has curly hair in a bun, wearing a black t-shirt and patterned shorts. The girl on the right has curly hair, wearing a blue shirt and colorful butterfly shorts. A person with pink hair is in the foreground facing them. The background has purple walls, a framed piece of colorful artwork, and a shelf with books and a lamp.

Our why is simple.

We believe that one class can spark confidence.
One encouraging word can change someone’s day.
One performance can change someone’s life.
And one welcoming community can remind someone they belong.

That’s why we do what we do.

A woman with blonde and pink hair stands outdoors on a grassy field, wearing a purple T-shirt with a white graphic of a semi-colon, heartbeat line, and heart, and the text "NO STORY SHOULD END TOO SOON"; she holds a smartphone and appears thoughtful, with a background of tents, people, and trees.

BORN FROM LOSS.

Rhythm Factory was created from one of the darkest chapters of my life.

After losing my dad, Wayne, to suicide, my world changed forever. Grief has a way of making you feel isolated, and through that journey, I came to understand just how deeply mental health affects every part of our lives. At the same time, I was navigating my own mental health challenges, learning firsthand how difficult it can be to ask for help, find hope, and believe that healing is possible.

Through it all, one thing never left me—dance.

Dance became more than movement. It became my outlet, my therapy, my safe place, and a reminder that even in life’s hardest moments, there was still room to breathe, to feel, and to keep moving forward.

That experience changed me, and it gave me a new purpose.

I realized that if movement could help me survive some of life’s most difficult moments, maybe it could help someone else too.

That’s why Rhythm Factory exists.

Not simply to teach choreography or count eight-counts, but to create the kind of space where people feel accepted before they feel accomplished. A place where children build confidence, adults rediscover themselves, and every person who walks through our doors knows they belong.

BUILT WITH PURPOSE.

Here, we celebrate progress over perfection. We choose encouragement over comparison. We believe that strength isn’t found in pretending everything is okay—it’s found in showing up, supporting one another, and continuing to move forward together.

Our mission reaches beyond dance. Through community outreach, wellness initiatives, and mental health advocacy, we’re committed to helping break the stigma surrounding mental illness and reminding people that asking for support is a sign of courage, not weakness.

Every class we teach, every performance we create, and every event we host is rooted in one simple belief:

No one should have to struggle alone.

When you become part of Rhythm Factory, you’re becoming part of something bigger than dance. You’re joining a community that believes movement can inspire confidence, creativity can spark healing, and genuine human connection can change lives.

This is my way of honoring my dad’s life, carrying forward his legacy, and creating the kind of community I wish every person had when they needed it most.

Because sometimes healing doesn’t begin with having all the answers.

Sometimes, it begins with walking through a door, hearing the music start, and realizing you’ve finally found a place where you belong.

“I built the place that I wish existed for people like me.”

Welcome to Rhythm Factory.
